Happy Halloween

We went over to my sisters to go Trick or Treating with her kids. We had a Star Wars Clone Wars theme going in our family. My daughter was Ahsoka and my son was Captain Rex. It was a great night with perfect weather. The kids had a blast.

Baby Bella Arrives

On October 7th the magical world of Bella Sara expanded with the debut of Baby Bella. The new trading cards feature the babies of the popular Bella Sara horse family. Like all the collectible Bella Sara trading cards, Baby Bella cards can be brought to life online in Bella Sara's virtual playground for kids.

We are big fans of Bella Sara cards at our house, so we were thrilled when Team Mom sent us the new Baby Bella cards . My son is a big collector of trading card games, but they seem to be geared toward boys so my daughter felt left out. When we first discovered Bella Sara cards she was so excited she could get horse cards. Pumpkin Dump cake

I saw this recipe for a Pumpkin Dump cake over at Back Porch Musing and it looked so good that I had to try it out. I made for our Annual Trunk or Treat at church and it was a real hit. I am sure that I will be making it again. I had a nice picture to post as well but my memory card for my camera has eaten my photos and can't retrieve them so you will have to go over to Back Porch Musings to take a peek at her photos.

Pumpkin Dump Cake
Ingredients:
1-box yellow cake mix
1-large can pumpkin pie mix
1-8oz can evaporated milk
2-eggs
1-stick butter (melted)
2-small pkgs. pecan halves
Mix pumpkin pie mix with eggs and evaporated milk. Pour into large baking dish, crumble dry cake mix over the top, drizzle with melted butter, garnish with pecan halves.

Bake in preheated 350 degree oven, until brown. Approximately 45 minutes. Seve with Ice Cream or Whip Cream on top

Super Saving Saturday~ CVS

Here is my haul this week from CVS. I can't find my receipt so I can't give you all the details but I know that I spent just over $2 after my coupons and ECB and got about $9 back in ECB for next time.
I should mention though that I bought the trail size Crest White strips for $5.99 and used the $7 PG coupon. They rounded the coupon down so they were free. If you are new to CVS check out CVS 101 from Money Saving Mom. You will be amazed at the what you can get for very little money.

The Circus is Coming to Town

The Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey Circus is coming to the Palace of Auburn Hills November 12-16. Bellobration is a show featuring America's favorite clown Bello. Nothing quite compares to the experience of the circus. Every child should at least see the Circus once in their childhood and this would be a great opportunity to create some great family memories.

I got my Kroger ad paper in the mail yesterday and I noticed that they had Celestial Seasonings Tea listed in their 10 for $10 sale this week. In the Oct. 5 Smartsource coupon insert there was $1 coupon for Celestial Seasonings tea. Use your coupon and you can get a box of free tea.
I can't find my coupon so I am going to have to pass on this one. My husband will be happy because he says we need no more tea in this house. Product Review-Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle

I have wanted to buy a Aquadoodle mat for daughter to play with for quite a while. Thanks to Spin Master and Team Mom my daughter is know the proud owner of her very own Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle. I can't say enough good things about this toy. If you have a child who loves to draw you need this mat. First there is no mess. All of the drawing is done with water in the Aqua pen. The pictures your children draw magically disappear without any messes to clean up. The Draw 'N Doodle is a large soft fabric mat which is great for individual or group play. May I suggest if you have more than one child to buy extra pens.

My daughter is 5 and one of her favorite things to do with her mat is to draw the pictures that are along side of the mat. They give you step by step pictures to draw different items. She is so proud of herself because she can now draw a car.

The Aquadoodle Draw 'N Doodle can be found at most major retailers for about $24.99. It will be well worth your investment. With the holiday season coming up this would be a great gift. As a Mom I absolutely love it and my daughter does too!!

Product Review- Bath Blizzard

Thanks to Team Mom and Spin Master for sending our family the new Bath Blizzard bath toy by Kid Kleen to try. As soon as my daughter saw the box she started begging to have a bath. When it was finally bath time she was so excited. The Bath Blizzard instantly creates a waterfall of soapy bath bubbles with the turn of a knob so you never run out of bubbles during your bath. It does not provide enough bubbles to fill your tub so be sure to still add bubble bath to your tub if you like lots of bubbles. I used the strap and hung it over the faucet on the tub and it stayed very well.

Kid Kleen products are safe and non-toxic and hypo-allergenic. If you are looking for a fun new bath toy for your little one you will want to check out the Bath Blizzard. It is available at major retailers for $19.99. If you ask my daughter she will tell you she gives it 2 thumbs up.

A Gorgeous Fall Day

This past weekend we had wonderful weather here in Michigan. Like so many others we decided that it was just too nice to stay inside so we loaded up our bikes and headed out to a local park to enjoy the warm day and beautiful fall colors.

An Autumn Treat

A friend told me how much she really enjoyed the new Hershey Kisses Candy Corn Flavored Candies so I decided to pick some up for a treat. I can't say they are my favorite candy but on the back of the bag is a recipe for KISSES Candy Corn Autumn Cookies. They are a very good cookie. They would be great for a fall tea party or just for a special treat for your family. If you are looking for a new recipe, this is a great one to add to your collection. Sweet Tea

I guess that I truly am Southern at heart. I love Sweet Tea. I would drink it all day long if I could but that is just way to much sugar. I have finally found a bottled tea that I really like that tastes great even in the diet flavor. Gold Peak Diet Tea tastes like the real deal to me. I don't think it has any funny after taste so I feel like I am getting the real deal. If you are watching your sugar intake but are in the mood for some Sweet Tea you will definitely want to give this tea a try. Don't forget all the great benefits from drinking tea.

Getaway

My husband and I went away on Sunday to celebrate our 12th Anniversary. We stayed at a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. It was great to get away. I am trying to get back into the swing of things so my normal posting will resume soon.
