A Gift from DaySpring

Last week I received a suprise package from DaySpring with this lovely teapot and teacup in it. It is a beautiful White set with purple pansies which are my favorite flowers after hygrangeas. The verse both is Psams 123:6 which says “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

I have deciced to display them in my Living room to replace some teacups I had displayed that never got unpacked after I but my Christmas decorations away. This space was bare so I am glad to have a lovely teacup and teapot to fill the void. If you would like to own these for yourself they are on sale right now at DaySpring for 50% off. Yanni Voices Detroit Concert Ticket Giveaway.

On June 5th my husband I will be enjoying a night out to see Yanni Voices Live in Concert thanks to the One2One Network.  I recently received their CD and I am really enjoying their music.  Yanni Voices will be in concert on Friday June 5th at The Palace of Auburn Hills at 8pm.  I am really looking forward to seeing them.  You can get tickets starting at about $25.  If you are looking for a night out I am sure this will be a good concert.

Nine Ways God Always Speaks Giveaway

A few weeks ago I was listening to a Christian Talk show on our local Christian radio  station when I heard an interview with Mark Herringshaw talking about his new book "Nine Ways God Always Speaks"  he co-authored with Jennifer Schuchmann. I was very impressed with his interview and as I traveled in the car listening to him it was raining and the sun was shining  and I was looking for God to speak through his rainbow.  At that point I knew this is a book I wanted to read.

The next evening I was on Twitter and I was searching what people were saying about a Burger King commercial I found very inappropriate.  I clicked on a profile of  a person who felt the same way I did.  On her background page was the picture of this book.  My first reaction was to laugh.  I had discovered the Jennifer the co-author of the book.  I knew then God was speaking and he wanted me to read this book.  Jennifer and I chatted for a bit a I felt very connected to her and I knew God had his hand in that.  Jennifer was kind enough to send me the book to read as well as one to giveaway to one of my readers.  I have not finished it all yet but I am really enjoying it hope you will as well.

Time for Tea Tuesday

Tea and Scones

My neighbor invited me over for Tea this morning and of course I was thrilled to accept her invitation. I decided that we probably needed a little treat to go with our tea so I got up and made us some delicious Cinnamon raisin scones. I didn't have the clotted cream or jam to go with them but they were still quite tasty.
My neighbor just moved in last fall so I haven't had much of a chance to get to know her so it was so wonderful today to sit down and get to know her better over a cup of tea. She speaks Spanish and is learning English so conversation is not always easy but a cup of tea and a sweet to go with it is universal and we enjoyed each others company. When you get new neighbors you always wonder what they are like and pray that they will be good. I know God has answered prayer and provided us with good neighbors. As an added bonus she is one who enjoys talking over a cup of tea.
