Axe Hair Crisis Relief Review and Giveaway

Does your man's hair need relief from the crisis that it is in? Time for Tea Tuesday

While visiting my sister in Connecticut we took a little trip to go to the Harney and Sons Tea Tasting room and shop in Millerton,NY. I have wanted to go for several years but have never had the chance. We took a nice scenic hour drive to check out some great teas.

They have several teas steeped that you can taste and you can also choose one tea that you would like them to steep for you. My daughter chose a chocolate mint which i know was really good because she drank the whole cup without any milk or sugar. I tried their Paris Tea which I had heard was a wonderful tea. It is a fruity black tea with a hint of lemony Bergamot.

I am very impressed with their teas and they have so many great teas to choose from. I hope that we can return again sometime soon for lunch and some great tea. If you want to try their teas you can go to Harney & Sons and request your own catalog.

Time for Tea Tuesday

You may not know this about me but I am a sheep lover. I am in Connecticut visiting my sister for a week and she suprised me with this adorable sheep tea cozy. Look closely and you can see the spout. The best part about it is that she knitted it herself. She amazes me with her talent. Know I just need to find a cute sheep teapot.

I am also excited because today we will go to my favorite tea store Simson and Vail to pick up some great loose tea. They have wonderful teas. I stock up everytime I come to Connecticut but you can order from them online.

Inge a Hometown Hero

Brandon Inge is one of the finalists to get the last spot for the American League in the All Star Game on July 14. Inge is the favorite Tiger in this house not only because he lives in Dexter but also because he is known for giving back to the community. Inge often makes visits to Motts Children's hospital to visit the kids there. Recently a story came out about a boy named Tommy having heart transplant surgery. Inge was visiting at the time Tommy was going into surgery so he missed him. Hearing that Tommy was so disappointed about missing seeing him, Inge made a special visit to go and see him. He gave Tommy several autographs and getting one for himself from Tommy right on his arm. Notice on the picture. I know he also helped to raise money for the American Cancer Society at our day of Hope her in Dexter this year. He is a great player too and is having a awesome year

Tea With the Queen

I figured since I was talking about England last week I might as well continue this week.  Over the years I have always had a fasinaction with the British Royalty.  Several years ago I stated collecting some Royal teacups.  I don't have many but this was the 1st in my collection.  It was a tea cup commerating the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in 2002.   This is one of my display pieces and I have never sipped tea from it.  Over the next few weeks I hope you will join me for some Royal-tea.

We All Scream For Ice Cream. At Least I Do.

July is National Ice Cream month so I guess that means we need to all go out an enjoy a great scoop if our favorite ice cream. Our family has a great local ice cream shop about a 15 minute walk away and on a nice summer night we like to take a walk for a special treat.

Local dairies are always special treat as well. While we were over in South Haven, MI we went and visited a great local dairy called Sherman's. If you didn't know it was there you would probably drive right by because it just looks like an old building. You may notice the big blue cow on the roof or the long line out front and realize you may need to stop. If you are in south Haven you need to make a stop at Sherman's. They have so many great flavor's of ice cream if you are like me you will have a hard time deciding. In their peak season they serve about 50 different flavors.

So if you are looking for a special ice cream treat at home you have go to try the new Starbucks Ice Cream pints. I love it. Of course it helps that I am a huge fan off coffee ice cream.
